Initial Evaluation
Adults
During your initial evaluation, my aim is to begin to understand your story. I will explore your symptoms and concerns, but I also want to understand other facets of your life. Exploring your work, your relationships, your healthy coping skills, and beyond will help me create a more full picture of what your care with us will look like. By the end of our session, I’ll be able to provide you with my assessment, potential diagnoses, and I will develop a treatment plan for you moving forward.
60 minute intake / $320
Children & Adolescents
105 minute intake / $560
I structure our Child & Adolescent intakes to address both you and your child’s concerns. My extensive training with children and adolescents has led me to adopt a unique intake process. You will join your child for the first 15 minutes of their appointment; this both helps you build trust with me, and fosters your child’s comfort in this new psychiatric environment. Afterward, I will meet one-on-one with your child to conduct the initial evaluation. Time permitting, we will invite you back into the room at the end of the appointment to review and discuss next steps.
Follow Ups
Concise Follow Up
In this follow-up session, we'll go over any updates since your last visit, evaluate your progress with the strategies we've implemented, and discuss medication management if relevant. We'll also address any concerns or side effects you're experiencing and make any necessary adjustments to improve your treatment plan.
* If the need arises during the appointment, concise follow-up appointments will be converted to comprehensive follow-up appointments if time allows and fees adjusted accordingly

Comprehensive Follow Up
50 minutes / $320
In this follow-up, we'll review what's been happening in your life, explore any new stressors, and reflect on areas for growth. We’ll identify ways to strengthen coping mechanisms and develop new strategies for managing challenges. Additionally, I’ll assist you in assessing the effectiveness of your current treatment and medication, addressing any concerns or side effects. Together, we'll make any necessary adjustments to ensure your plan continues to support your well-being and goals.
Policies
Psychotherapy Only
Experience a therapy-only session where you can delve deeper into your feelings and challenges without the distraction of medication management. This focused approach allows for a safe space to explore your mental health and cultivate strategies that promote well-being. Tailored to your needs, these sessions empower you to prioritize your therapeutic journey.
45 minutes / $250
PAYMENT IS EXPECTED AT TIME OF SERVICE, check, debit or credit cards accepted.
Insurance:
Empowered Psychiatry is not in contract with any insurance companies and we are considered an out of network provider. If your insurance will cover an out of network health provider, I can provide you with a monthly billing statement/superbill for you to submit to your insurance company. You will be required to pay me directly for each session and you will be responsible for receiving your reimbursement from your health insurance company. Be aware that your insurance will likely require that I provide a mental health diagnosis and they may not cover the full amount.
I am not able to accept private pay from Medicaid (Health First Colorado) patients. By law, only contracted providers can see medicaid recipients.
No Show/Same Day Reschedule Fees:
I kindly ask that you notify us at least 48 hours in advance if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Cancellations, no-shows, or reschedules made within 48 hours of your scheduled time will be charged the full appointment fee.
Miscellaneous Fees:
Please note, miscellaneous provider services** requiring more than 5-10 minutes may be charged at an hourly rate based on time spent in task.
